On Sunday , 7th May ,2023 Hoerner College took pride in hosting the 19th District Inter School Championship , under the auspices of the U.P.Goodwill Taekwondo Association (affiliated to the National Taekwondo Committee).This was in succession to the hosting of previous Championships and the moment of jubilation came when at the Inaugural Ceremony it was declared that U.P.Goodwill Taekwondo Association has also earned recognition and is now certified from U.P. Olympic Association .

Amidst Loud cheers the Championship was inaugurated by Dr.Mala Mehra ,the Principal of Host School ( Hoerner College). Over 150 students participated from a number of Schools. The host School, Hoerner College had stellar arrangements and the Student Council managed the entire show.
The Championship kickstarted with the registrations and setting up of fixtures for the day by the Organising Committee Spirited young children from prominent schools of Lucknow ,including Lamartiniere Boys, Loreto Convent, CMS Gomtinagar, Jaipuria School, CMS Mahanagar, CMS Indra Nagar,CMS Chowk,SKD Academy,CMS Aliganj and Hoerner College displayed their expertise.
CMS Gomti Nagar,Campus 2 lifted the Championship Trophy winning the maximum of 26 medals including 16 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals , followed by Hoerner College , which finished Second in the Championship with a total 26 medals including 10 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze.

In the closing ceremony of the Championship, Mr. Manish Mahrotra, MD, A. R. Jaipuria and Secretary of UP Goodwill Taekwondo Association ,Mr. Javed Khan distributed prizes to the winning and runner-up teams wherein every participating School won a minimum of at least 7-8 medals in various categories.

In the end, Organizing Secretary ,Mr Raza Hussain proposed Vote of thanks to all present on the occasion looking forward to more such association with Hoerner College in days coming ahead.
