Since its establishment, Hoerner College has strived to make a difference in the lives of those who are poor and peripherised. We have taken part in a number of philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives, from collecting grains and pickles, to donating clothing and shoes, to knitting blankets. We have also had meal programs for the homeless, and have donated to charities that serve those in need. Our mission is to foster a sense of kindness, sympathy, and fraternity among our students, faculty, and everyone associated with our campus.
Even amidst the pandemic, which disrupted the roller coaster of human life and threw everything into disarray, we have remained steadfast in our dedication to serving those in need with perseverance and diligence.
This year, our team of student office bearers, accompanied by their teachers – Mrs. Archana ma’am , Ashish Sir, Saurabh Sir and Abhay Sir- traveled to the village of Gomikhera, Gosai Ganj, Lucknow, to distribute items, primarily collected from students, the teachers, with the Principal being the largest donor. These items included blankets, clothing, grains, and other food items.
As usual, two mini trucks were available for this constructive move. The senior students who were present for offline classes on campus helped to load the mini trucks, and the team then went to the village. The village people were most grateful for our assistance and kindness.
The Hoerner College team departed with the assurance of coming back with, even more, in next season. With a sense of hope that never fades, the college focuses on helping those in need and raising awareness to all within its premises, and aspires to become the very change they want to observe in the universe!
Our college shall be consistently disseminating the message of equality, justice, love, and fraternity, envisaging a society free from discriminatory practices and exclusionary politics, thus turning this Earth into a Garden of Eden.
Appreciations to the Hoerner College team for their relentless spirit!
