“Cleanliness is a practice, not a project. It is a mindset- a positive habit that keeps the body, mind and environment happy, healthy, simple, neat and delightful.”Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Nagar Nigam Lucknow members conducted an awareness drive in Hoerner College on 19th January 2023 to spread the need, importance and effects of cleanliness in our life. They visited the campus and made the new generation aware of the two dustbins, its usage and dumping method; blue and green dustbin via banners. The awareness drive was indeed an alarm that cleanliness must be an effort by each and every individual so that our Mother Earth becomes an even better and sustainable place.“Environmental cleanliness begins with each individual desire to be clean.” – Hoerner College

When you travel with your children you are giving them something that can never be taken away, experience, exposure and a way of life.”The Pre Primary toddlers of Hoerner College were taught the way, twist and turns of school and taught land transport practically on 19th January, 2023. Students were given a ride to E- rickshaw in school near Virginia Gardens and Dr. Surender Singh Block. The children were overwhelmed and enjoyed the ride with thorough knowledge been imparted.The joyous and delighted children had mesmerizing smiles, thanking their teachers for special education.

“Democracy is based upon the conviction that there are extraordinary possibilities in ordinary people.” It is evident that the students familiarise with elections since they are the future. Keeping in mind the same, elections for Student Council 2023-24 were held in Hoerner College on 24th January, 2023. The day before was full of excitement as canvassing went on full swing up until the Ballot boxes were put out. The nominees for posts of Head Boy, Head Girl, Captains and Vice- Captains of the four houses, Sports and Discipline Incharges were introduced before hand to students. The first vote was casted by Principal, Dr. Mala Mehra followed by students from all classes VI to XII; as per their choices. Secret Ballot box was kept in The Globe area for Fair Elections of Senior section.On the other hand, elections for Head Boy and Head Girl for Primary Section was conducted in The Atrium wherein students from Classes I to V casted their votes in Ballot Box.
