Leaving school finally is cherry, but then it’s extremely teary too.”Farewell parties are an excellent way for students to reminisce over the memories they made during the school year and to bid a fond farewell to their friends and teachers. Hoerner College held a special farewell party on April 15th, 2023, where the Atrium echoed with soulful renditions, which stirred fond memories in the hearts of the students reminding the profound bond between the Class 11 and 12 students who were soon to part ways. The students made every effort to make their peers feel special and nostalgic about their journey from Nursery to Class 12. Everyone was dressed in their finest attire, and welcomed with a Teeka ceremony. The Principal then delivered an inspiring speech, motivating the students for their future journey. Games were organized, followed by a Ramp Walk and Question-Answer Rounds to determine the Mr. and Miss Hoerner. Akshat Gupta and Alishba Khan were finally declared as the winners. The Principal again addressed the students and encouraged them to rise, breeze, and soar towards achieving their nurtured dreams. The celebration culminated with a delicious lunch and a sprightly dance performed by both the students and teachers, leaving the day on a high note. • Hoerner College considers it’s parents to be the first predictor of early literacy. Every child wants to learn in a different way and here comes the parent involvement. This year Hoerner College conducted a Parent Orientation programme of its Pre Primary Section on Thursday, 13th April. The program kickstarted with a short video related to it’s campus and addendum facilities to their students. A special focus was on Virginia Gardens Block wherein students are provided numerous ways of learning including Smart Board, sand pit learning, fix to fit etc. Following the Bala Technique, most articles are placed as per the physical height of the children including toilet seats, sinks, taps and urinals. The address by the Principal, Dr. Mala Mehra was exceptionally motivational. Parents were suggested ideas on how to keep the child engrossed in learning and innovating, providing them child centric education, full of fun- learn-talk. NEP based pedagogy and it’s framework was the key point shared with parents wherein emphasis on Numeracy and Literacy would formulate the key areas and a play way methodology with assessments spread out across bimonthly. The intrinsic idea being a play way method and the stipulated 10 bagless days as per the newly devised National Education Policy guidelines. Teachers of Pre Primary Section were introduced to the parents. These included – Mrs. Urshila Bano(Mother teacher- Class KG and Section Incharge), Mrs. Mansi Srivastava (Mother teacher-Class Nursery), Mrs. Heena Shukla(Mother teacher- Class Pre Nursery) and Ms. Shrishti Chaurasiya (Helper Teacher and Event Coordinator). A short video showcased various activities been conducted in Pre Primary Section by cute toddlers since the new session began in mid March, 2023. The school counselor, Dr. Tanu Singh, gave suggestions on how to keep children busy in good activities so that they make the best use of time and get rid of the habit of mobile. She also engrossed the parents by playing paper games emphasizing the importance of time and it’s utilisation. It clearly denoted that if at this stage we can enjoy games, the students have the right of it, and pressure of studies in initial days is not going to work long. For witnessing the same, the parents were taken for a campus walk where they could distinguish the difference in studies by various ways at different levels. The orientation program ended with happy faces and refreshments for students as well as parents. The feedback of the Parents was most encouraging as they were happy to entrust their children in the care of Hoerner College with the faith that the kids would have a holistic development. The appreciated the infrastructure including the Computer Laboratory, Beat Station, Sandpit Area and the Canopy under which the kids do fun activities. With resolve and dedication, Hoerner College welcomes all for the New Session 2023-24!! It is our belief that we will continue in our endeavour to impart holistic knowledge with development of morals and values! Let’s do this together!!

  • Hoerner College held its 53rd Annual Function on 17th February 2023 with grand aplomb exhibiting a phenomenal showcase of multifarious talents.
It was witnessed with the gracious presence of Honorable Aparna Yadavji, Senior BJP leader from Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest for the Day. She was warmly welcomed with due enthusiasm. A Teeka ceremony welcoming her was most appreciated by her. The other dignitaries included the Guest of Honour, Ms Manjit Batra, Vice President Hoerner College Society & Senior Principal City Montessori School along with Mrs Vera Hajela, Mrs Aditi Sharma, Mrs Shivani Singh and Mrs Sangita Bannerjee- all Principals of various branches of City Montessori Schools. Also present were Mrs Kalpana Singh, Principal Gurukul Academy, Mrs Amita Singh, Principal, St Joseph College, Mrs Najma, retired Teacher City Montessori School, Mrs Madhumita Bose, Attorney at law, Mrs Vanita Yadav, Social Activist, Mr Munish Mishra CEO Children’s Academy, Ms Shifalika Misra, Principal, Children’s Academy and members of the Fourth Estate representing electronic and print media.
The programme commenced with a welcome song and lighting of the lamp by the the Honourable Chief Guest and Guest of Honour with other dignitaries.
The Principal presented her Annual Report showcasing the vital curriculum changes and inclusion of the National Education Policy. This was followed by an All-Religion Prayer to uphold the secular structure of the nation. After that, the Chief Guest was ceremoniously introduced. The attendees were absolutely captivated by the range of presentations. The program moved forward with an English skit on “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” which left the audience with an enlightening message. Undoubtedly, it was an amazing rendition to the eternal fairytale accompanied by the presentation of the dance called Space Mania.
The event then marched on with a speech from Aparna Yadavji who gave an incredibly didactic address to the audience where she spoke of the Guru being the most respected person of civilised society and how we as a nation must take forward that thought. Being a trained classical singer she chanted a few lines glorifying the Guru. It was a beautiful speech and she was most endearing and down to earth as a Chief Guest. This was followed by an energetic Yoga performance by Pre primary and Primary students. Thereafter, an exhilarating speech was delivered by Manjit Batra, Guest of honour for the day, who applauded the efforts of the students and mentioned in her speech that the programmes, together, brought forth a spectacular show of amalgamation of local identities with global identities. In addition to this, an impressive Presentation on SDG based Activities done by the children of Primary and Pre Primary section was presented. The melodious performances by the Choir Divinity from time to time added to the charm. They sung the iconic Abba Song I have a dream to perfection in candlelight and the delightful rendition of the famous ‘ in a shoemakers shop’ was delightful as it was staged with the choir singing and simultaneous enactment of the shoemaker! The life cycle of a butterfly was an innovative dance act with beautiful props and rendition done by the students of the Primary Section. The mothers pitched in doing an extended rendition of the Rhyme Ba Ba Black sheep with the children of Pre Primary which was a big hit.
